The American Hotel Atlanta Downtown-a Doubletree by Hilton

We arrived around midnight to check in and it was no problem. Friendly staff, large and clean room. Outstanding location! Two blocks from Centennial Park. Around the corner was a small 24/7 shop where we could buy the essentials (hot dogs, water, etc.) having arrived so late. The hotel is close enough to the MARTA station and we were back at the airport in about 45 minutes. If I had to, I would go back.

This is a great hotel in the middle of downtown Atlanta making it great to access all the tourist attractions. The beds and rooms were comfortable and the rooms spacious enough for two people to move around comfortably. The shower and bathrooms were also good (nothing worse than a crappy shower). The fitness centre was a bit bare but also had everything you needed for a hotel workout (the peleton bike was a good addition). Parking was also easy - you could valet but I chose to park on the streets nearby as I was out and about a fair bit - $8 for 4 hours (7am - 12pm, free on Sundays).

I absolutely enjoyed a little bits in history that the Americana had. The location was top-notch for all the little restaurants including the venue for the show we were going to go see which was right across the street. I feel like I should have upgraded to one of the bigger rooms and I will know better for next time if I get the chance to stay here again. It was just that nice and I wish I had had more time. The Cloakroom was a bonus!

location was great. we walked to our event in less than 10 minutes. room was large and quite comfy. staff was friendly. the valet staff was amazing, dude was running like a beast when we checked out and got our truck.

The staff was the highlight-they could not have been more helpful or pleasant, even at 3:30 am, when I needed a cab to the airport. The room was nice, the bed was excellent-so comfortable! Great breakfast buffet.
